Telephone Policies
Telephone consultation is a major part of pediatrics, and we don't believe in charging for it. Indeed, we encourage parents to call whenever they have special concerns or worries. When calling, please have the following ready:
1. all questions you have
2. something to write with
3. your pharmacy's phone number
4. the name of any medication your child is taking
5. your child's temperature (if at all relevant)
Morning Talk Time: Monday thru. Friday 9:00-9:45am
We have set aside this time to be available by phone for general advice and discussion. Please feel free to call with your special concerns. New parents are especially encouraged to make use of this service.
Calls During Office Hours
If you call after talk time we will return your call, but it will have to be sometime throughout the course of the day. This is necessary so as not to inconvenience the patients we are seeing.
After Hours Phone Calls
Our practice will always have one of the five physicians available to take your phone call after hours. Simply call our main number to hear instructions on how and who to page. If you have not heard back within a reasonable time (eg 20 minutes) feel free to re-page the doctor as your original message may not have gone through properly.
