In Office Child Psychology Consultations

Jennifer Lindsey, PsyD

We are very pleased to announce that we again have a child psychologist, Dr Jennifer Lindsey, coming to our office to provide behavioral consultations. This is a service we have provided through other child psychologists in the past, and it's a service we are proud to offer. Dr Lindsey can meet with our patients, with their parents, or perhaps the family itself, depending on the situation. She will provide one or two sessions at our office. If more sessions seem wise, Dr Lindsey can then be seen at her office (behind St. Alexius Medical Center) or will facilitate further visits with a colleague if that seems more appropriate.

Dr. Lindsey is indeed a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), having completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in 2011. She is on staff at the AMITA Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, and is a member of their outpatient group practice. Of note, Dr Lindsey has special expertise in adolescent behavioral issues, as she deals with all areas of child psychology. In fact, she is quite comfortable dealing with behavioral issues from  3-year-olds through young adults. She is also certified as an alcohol and drug counselor.

Quite frankly, we realize that the decision to see a mental heath specialist can be difficult for parents. Yet, while our practice takes special interest in behavioral issues, we know there are times a child psychologist's input would be especially helpful. And we realize seeking that expertise within the familiarity of our own office might bring special comfort.

If you would like to arrange a behavioral consultation, please call our office (847-839-0400) to get the process started. Also, feel free to speak with any of our providers to discuss whether this service might be appropriate for your family.
