Aga's Introduction
Hello! My name is Agnieszka but I also go by Aga to make it easier to pronounce. I grew up in Poland and
moved to the United States when I was 14 years old and attended Vernon Hills High School. My mother
was a preschool teacher and instilled love for children in me, and I always knew I wanted to work with
kids.
In 2012 I graduated from The University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Psychology. While in
college I was a camp counselor at a Polish sleep away camp, Camp Vista. In 2013 I started my Master of
Science in Nursing program at Rush University, and during my second semester clinical, I fell in love with
the Neonatal ICU. Shortly after, I started working as a nursing assistant in the NICU at Rush University
Medical Center. After graduating, I was able to land a job in that same NICU, where I was a nurse for the
past 7 years and gained acute care experience. In 2017 I started my Doctor of Nursing Practice in
Primary Care Pediatrics at Rush University while I continued to work in the NICU.
As for my personal life, I have been married since 2017, and we had our first son Jacob in October 2021
who is our whole world. My husband owns his own business where he designs and builds custom
kitchens among other things.
I love partnering with families to build strong relationships and bring the best care possible to their
children. My NICU experience prepared me to work with families that are going through some of the
hardest days in their life, and to work with many specialties when needed to.
